I am having trouble installing a program on Win7 Enterprise x64 that tries to install MS Installer 3.1 by default before installing the program itself. I understand that Windows 7 has MS installer 5 installed and that you cannot downgrade your installed version, but unfortuantely I cannot stop this installation trying to install the older one, it's not an option I can deselect.
We are getting some errors trying to deploy java that there is a problem with the windows installer package. I found that I need to create a custom MST file explained here:
I had an application (msi) installer and also a patch (.msp) file. Trying to use package and application but installation failed. Thanks Jeff Monday, October 7, 2013 10:32 AM
=> If I take the installer and put it on the machine directly, the installation goes well. So the installers are not the issue. => Also I can install these software from other machines, that means the issue is not coming from the settings server side. I strongly suspect that windows is not allowing me to install new soft from the network !
Thanks, yeah I know that would download the offline installer. But my question is if there's a way to download the offline installer without downloading SQL2019-SSEI-Expr.exe first (i.e. from a direct link)?
Fistr I must remove from registry all subkeys thath contain substring "Adobe Flash Player 10 Plugin" in [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Installer] . Substring must be more than one.
