Cape Cod, Nantucket have been in drought since 2024. Now the rest of the state is, too.

According to state records, Cape Cod and Nantucket have been in either mild or significant drought since November 2024. Martha's Vineyard has dipped in and out of drought status. At the beginning of April, only Cape Cod remained in "significant" drought, with the rest of the state in either mild or no drought.
