Today reminded us why we do this. As we cruised along the coastline, we spotted those iconic heart-shaped spouts in the distance… and then they appeared — southbound gray whales traveling together. In the second clip you can clearly see there wasn’t just one — it was five gray whales moving as one. 🤍 Gray whales hug the coastline during migration for safety, and witnessing that natural behavior up close is something you never forget. Moments like these are happening right now out on the water.

Today was incredible! Just minutes out of the harbor we already had whales all around us. After some amazing first looks, we decided to explore further and were rewarded with baby humpback joy—breaches that felt like pure leaps of happiness. 🐳✨Out there we found more humpbacks hunting, and on our way back toward the harbor we got even luckier: a full lunge feed, powerful tail throws, and a few curious giants giving us the eye.Every trip really is a new adventure—book your private charter or gra

Today was nothing short of amazing! We had plenty of humpback whales showing off around us, but the real highlight was a massive pod of Risso’s dolphins racing through the water. These incredible animals are squid specialists — masters of the deep who thrive in our underwater canyon, the same place where giant squid (yep, the famous calamari) live! 🍤 Turns out, we’re not so different from dolphins after all… we both love the same treats! Ever wonder why Risso’s dolphins have so many scars on th

Being on a small 6-pack boat puts you eye-to-eye with the whales — it feels like you’re right on the water’s surface beside them. That perspective makes their sheer size even more breathtaking, so different from looking down at them from higher decks. We got the full show today: breaches, tail throws, and even a playful moment we call “kelping” — when a whale twirls around with kelp just for fun. 🌿🐋Every trip is unique, and today reminded us why Monterey Bay is one of the best places on Earth t

Today’s trip turned into something truly extraordinary. We came across a massive pod—at least 100 Risso’s dolphins—gliding through the glassy waters. As we got closer, we realized something rare was unfolding before our eyes: this Risso’s pod had adopted a calf from the elusive offshore bottlenose dolphin species (a sight almost never seen in Monterey) and a couple of baby common dolphins tagging along. It took us a while to identify all the different species in this blended family, since this k

Meet Ruffles 🐋✨ — the whale that stole the show today! If you look closely at the video, you’ll notice the orca teeth marks along the underside of its tail and the ragged edges where it’s been chewed. This whale is a true survivor 💪💙.Despite those battle scars, Ruffles has been thriving in Monterey Bay lately, feasting on schools of fish and showing off with pure joy. Today alone we watched Ruffles breach again and again, throw powerful tail slaps, and even add in some playful pec slaps. What.

From humpbacks to ORCAS — what a day! 🐋🖤 We started the morning with good vibes and whales alongside our awesome passengers from North Carolina…Then suddenly… we noticed a swirl of seabirds going wild in the distance. Our crew looked closer, hearts racing — and there it was — a massive 6-foot dorsal fin slicing through the water. No doubt about it… Orcas! A pod of killer whales right in front of us, hunting and sharing a meal (and yes, that sweet smell of the ocean “hot syrup” — that’s the sce

Today was another one for the books. We started the trip off enjoying watching several Humpback’s in front of our harbor when we saw some splashing in the distance. The splashing turned out to be a pod of Orca’s flying out of the water! The family was hunting sea lions as there were hundreds swimming around for them to choose from. They fed on at least three sea lions while we watched in amazement and began celebrating afterwards by breaching. 🐳 Book your private charter or save your seat on a

🌊 What. A. Day. 🌊This morning, we set out with 5 adventurous passengers eager to explore the wonders of Monterey’s underwater canyon—and it did not disappoint! 🐋✨We found ourselves surrounded by a superpod of 20 plus humpback whales, all working together with sea lions to hunt schools of sardines. Among them, we watched mommas teaching their calves how to lunge feed, while the little ones added their own playful touch—breaching and showing off. From pec slapping to sleeping at the surface, and

What a day out on the bay! Yesterday’s trip was pure magic — humpbacks feeding, Risso’s dolphins cruising by, and a pod of six playful female orcas showing off their hunting skills. 🐋🐬 In the second-to-last clip, you can see the whole family swimming in sync, and notice how their dorsal fins are more curved — that’s one of the ways you can tell they’re females (males have tall, straight fins!). It’s days like these that remind us why we love what we do. 💙 ✨ Book your private charter or save y

Today was one of those trips where everything just clicked – the ocean was glassy, the sun was shining, and the wildlife was putting on a show just for us!We started off with a peaceful humpback whale leading the way, and before we knew it, we were surrounded by a playful pod of Risso’s dolphins, breaching and splashing like they owned the place. 🐬✨As we continued our search, we came across four more humpbacks, including two adorable mom-and-calf pairs. They treated us to some incredible lunge

What a wild day in Monterey! 🐋💙 First, a group of orcas greeted us—one even cruised by showing off a sea lion piece in its mouth (yep, caught on video 👀). They can be quite the show-offs sometimes! After that, we found over 30 humpbacks all around us—one swimming right beneath the boat in crystal-clear water, others breaching, tail-slapping, and feeding alongside a massive raft of sea lions. Still can’t believe how magical today was! 🌊✨ Book your private trip now through the link in bio, or

Yesterday we saw this Humpback whale breaching several times. It is such a grand moment when these giant animals breach because makes us realize how big and strong they are. A Humpback whale's average weight is 40 tons and they can breach with the strength of 3 tail kicks. 🐋 Book your trip now using website link in bio! 🎥: @marybarbony #wildlife #breach #news #locals #wildlifevideos #videos #videography #sun #fog #connect #friends #whales #humpbackwhale #moments

Have you ever seen a humpback whale lunge feeding? The yellowish content inside of it's mouth is called baleen. Baleen is a filter-feeding system in which humpbacks push the water out their mouths and filter krill or small fish like anchovies in, that way food remains in the whale's mouth. 🐋 Book your trip now using website link in the bio! #whale #wildlife #photography #sea #ocean #travel #california #viral #fun
