If you want to know how I knew this extra information, a few years ago I read a brilliant book on the history of board games called ‘It’s All a Game’ by Tristan Donovan. It also tells the story of how Elizabeth Magie invented the predecessor to Monopoly as a way to highlight the evils of capitalism - then a bloke called Charles Darrow pinched her idea and flipped its message completely. Highly recommended book if you’re interested in that kind of thing. #thechaseaustralia #trivialpursuit
